Alief ISD believes that children learn best through planned, purposeful play.  Our objective is to provide hands-on, interactive, purposeful, and playful experiences that build important background knowledge and vocabulary necessary for kindergarten readiness, as well as success in the later grades.

We provide an engaging Pre-K program that supports the development of early literacy, language, math, and social emotional skills.

The Early Childhood Department is responsible for the district's Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs at all Alief ISD elementary schools and the early learning centers.
