My name is Dr. Sharonda Newby, and I am the principal at Outley Elementary School. I have been a proud member of the Alief family for more than 21 years and principal at Outley for over 8 years. Before becoming a principal, Before becoming a principal, I served in various other roles here in Alief. I taught 3rd grade and have served as math instructional specialist and assistant principal.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University, where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. I later went on to get a Masters in Sociology from the University of Houston at Clear Lake, Mid-Management degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from University of Houston - main campus.
I am committed to providing a safe and equitable learning environment where all children feel loved, respected, and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential.
