Greetings Rees Star Families,

My name is Mireya Lara, and I am the principal at Rees Elementary School. I have been a proud member of the Alief family for more than 11 years and principal at Rees Elementary for over 2 years. Before becoming a principal, I taught Bilingual PK, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, 2nd Grade Dual Language, and have served as the RTI/Dyslexia Teacher, Bilingual Counselor, and Assistant Principal.

I graduated from the University of Houston where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I also hold a Masters in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University.
